What travellers say

Rated 4.6 / 5 by 286 verified customers on GetYourGuide.

★★★★★

"Definitely a must if you're in Stuttgart for a few days. Free entry to many attractions incl. public transport — simply super. The city too!"

Bianca — Germany · June 2026
★★★★★

"The card is a great option if you stay 3 days or longer. Public transport works great, and the included activities were excellent. Zoo is beautiful and the Mercedes and Porsche museums are spectacular! Highly recommended."

Alvaro — Colombia · May 2026
★★★★★

"Bought two full days: both car museums, Ludwigsburg and the TV Tower. Without the card + transport I'd have paid double. Just watch out — the souvenir shops are tempting but expensive."

Éricles — Brazil · June 2026
★★★★★

"Excellent! Friendly drivers, great experience. A must!"

Linda — USA · June 2026
★★★★★

"Great tool. Access to a very extensive transport network and to great museums."

Cemil — Turkey · June 2026
★★★★★

"Useful tip: the 48 hours can be activated from a certain time, but the free public transport is valid for the full calendar days — so it also covers the early-morning airport transfer."

Ferenc — Hungary · May 2026
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between Stuttgart Card and Stuttgart Card Plus?
Both give free entry to the same 27 museums and all partner discounts. The Plus version is additionally a valid ticket on the entire VVS public-transport network (buses, trams, S-Bahn, 2nd class) for its full validity period. Without Plus, you'll need to buy VVS tickets separately (a single ticket is 3,20 €, a day ticket 6,70 €).
How do I activate my card?
You get a PDF voucher by email right after booking. It contains a QR code — that is your Stuttgart Card. Show it at the entrance of each museum or restaurant to redeem the benefit. Validity starts at first use; you can pick when to start.
Are most museums really free?
Yes — for the 27 partner museums, admission is 0 €. That includes Mercedes-Benz Museum (16 €), Porsche Museum (12 €), Wilhelma Zoo (up to 23 €), TV Tower (12,50 €), Staatsgalerie (12 €), Kunstmuseum (11 €), Ludwigsburg Palace (10 €). A few venues offer 10–20 % off instead of free entry (Stage Musicals, Altes Schauspielhaus, Friedrichsbau Varieté).
Are the museums open on Mondays?
Most museums in Stuttgart — including Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Staatsgalerie and Kunstmuseum — are closed on Mondays. Wilhelma and the TV Tower are open. If you're planning a Monday visit, check the museum website before you go.
Can I cancel?
Yes — free cancellation up to 24 h before your start date. You can also book now and pay later. If your plans change, cancel from your GetYourGuide confirmation email in one click.
Is the card worth it if I stay only one day?
Yes if you visit at least two paid attractions. Mercedes-Benz (16 €) + Fernsehturm (12,50 €) already tops the 24 h Stuttgart Card Plus (35 €). Add a VVS day ticket and you're saving from the second stop. Not sure? Use the calculator above.
Does the Plus card cover the trip from the airport?
Yes. The VVS ticket in your Plus card is valid across the entire region — that includes the S-Bahn from Stuttgart Airport (STR) to the city (S2/S3, about 27 min).
Do I need to bring anything?
ID with photo (a copy is fine). The QR-code voucher on your phone is enough — no printout needed.
